My Sust House

My Sust House was an award winning interactive game exploring what sustainability means and how it relates to our homes and communities. It provided a resource for meaningful and effective learning and teaching opportunities across the curriculum for excellence.

The three sections to the Game were:

  • Environment – Can you create a sustainable environment? This game will allow you think about aspects including saving water, energy and waste.
  • Building – Can you build your own sustainable house? Do you have a big enough budget? Use this game to make decisions on building materials and heating your house.
  • Town – You need to expand your small Scottish town- thinking about housing, schools, transport, shops and energy can you do this in the most sustainable way?

Teachers Notes explain how the activities relate to the curriculum for excellence and include possible class activities.
