Good & best practise timber design – Case Studies

From bespoke homes to social housing, from commercial property to sports arena, wood is increasingly becoming the material of choice in architecture and design. Here’s a great source for inspiration!

More than 90 examples of timber designs can be found in Wood for Good’s ever growing case study database. Discover a broad range of applications from joinery to structural timber in Housing, Education, Health, Public Buildings, Sports and more. Use the filter function to find examples of specific applications easily or simply browse a variety of projects for inspiration.

Grand Designs, winners of the RIAS awards, Wood Awards and RIBA Awards have their place in the collection as much as lesser known projects. With a focus on housing and sustainability, there is a growing number of project examples for social housing and affordable homes as well as on custom build solutions.

Each case study comes with direct links to client, architect, contractor and timber supplier, where possible with an aim to facilitate dialogue, collaboration and mutual learning.

Project teams are welcome to submit their case studies via a simple online form on the Wood for Good website.
